Arizona Academic Decathlon has again been named part of Bashas' Shop & Give (formerly "Thanks a Million").

Shop & Give is easy! The 2008-2009 Thanks A Million program begins September 1, 2008 and will run through March 31, 2009.

Bashas' customers can support their favorite charity by linking that group to their Bashas' Thank You Card and turning 1% of their shopping dollars into a donation for a local school, church or nonprofit.

How the program works:
Each participating school, church or nonprofit is assigned a 5-digit group ID number to their Thank You Card purchase is set aside for that group. After March 31, Bashas' will donate 1% of the total sales linked to each group's ID number, up to a $5,000 donation. Active charities must earn a minimum donation of $25 to earn a check.
